Australian Institute of Tibetan Healing Practices

Basics

A new approach to Buddhism acknowledged by Tibetans. Venerable Chris Roberts’s Overcoming Problems Program doesn’t just tell you how to change, it shows you how to change. Through our courses, you can learn how to use Tibetan Wisdom to solve everyday problems and transform adversity into happiness.

Before the Institute started, our resident teacher, Venerable Chris Roberts, had substantial experience as a long-time student who had studied in the West (as a Westerner) and had experienced many hardships. In 1992, Rinpoche asked her to be the resident teacher at the Institute.

In Tibetan Buddhism, it is recognised that permanent healing can’t take place unless the root cause of the problem is addressed and healed. Consequently, Venerable Chris also saw the need to study Western problems and their causes and to explore the most appropriate methods and techniques for Westerners.
